Matty and Murphy

Wendy took some fantastic pics of Matty and Murphy playing this weekend. Murphy is the dog that Wendy and Julian recently adopted from Pet Haven, and she and Matty have become best buds. They had backyard romps both days. Their romps are not as idyllic as the pictures would suggest … I left out all the ones that showed entirely too many teeth. They were having fun but they looked scary. :) We took the pics because both of them will soon be featured in an upcoming “Happy Tail” in a Pet Haven newsletter.

Poor Max had to work 7 hours today, at an opera no less. I fixed/did more house stuff, played with the dog, had a long phone call with Mom & Dad, and cooked a roast (if you can count a 5 minute crockpot fill ‘cooking’). I’m WFH (working from home) tomorrow because I have a doc appt in the early afternoon. W00t!! I love WFH on Mondays. Mondays suck.

productive day

We got so much done today! You know when you find yourself sorting the kitchen junk drawer at 7pm that you’re on a roll. Matty went and had a good romp with her BFF Murphy, and Max went to the Rainbow Families conference to run the MTHC booth. Then we tackled recycling and garbage, cleaned the kitchen, laundry, rearranged our clothing storage, moved two old TVs around (one is HUGE sooo heavy), restacked a bookshelf so that it was all purty, packed up a garbage bag full of stuff for Goodwill, hung decorative stuff in the kitchen, sorted and moved the junk drawer, installed the awesome on-wall cast iron coat racks that we got for our birthdays from Johanna and Gerrit, put together & glued a shoe rack, and fixed a kitchen drawer with a sagging bottom (it’s too easy, leave it alone). I’m sure there’s more but I forget.

Now Max is gently snoring on the couch in front of the TV. Sooo cute when asleep.
