day 1
Very short (tired and sunburnt!!) rundown … Trudi is a fantastic host!!!!
1. Breakfast at french market cafe
2. Venice beach (muscle beach where ah-nold worked out before he was famous). Crazy beachfront bazaar. Saw rollerskating guy with guitar in weird costume. Among others.
3. Santa monica beach and pier, including one of the last remaining pier amusement parks in America. Trudi and Tyler tied at whac-a-mole and proved the theory that half of them don’t work and which station you pick matters. Ate at bubba gump shrimp. Trudi and Max rod the ferris wheel and the roller coaster. Beach. Feet in ocean (cold!!) Pics later.
4. Let gps (“tommy”) send us all over crazy hill neighborhoods trying to get to griffith observatory. Wild mansions. Finally gave up and called them and got directions. Saw fantastic star show, looked thru telescope at moon, and saw great views of LA.
5. Now eating massive pastrami sandwich at “the hat” near trudi’s house.
6. Sleeeeep. Mmmm sleep.
